The World Is Coming. Are You?

Today, Los Angeles welcomes its biggest event since the 1984 Olympic Games: the Special Olympics World Games.  From July 25 to August 2, 6,500 athletes and 2,000 coaches representing 165 countries will be featured and supported by 30,000 volunteers and about 500,000 fans.  25 sports competitions will be held at venues across LA, including the two host hubs of UCLA and USC.  Tonight, the World Games kick off at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum featuring First Lady Michelle Obama and shown on ESPN.
