Weingart Center Association

Los Angeles is known as the "Homeless Capital of the United States," with over 51,000 homeless in the city, as last counted in January 2011 by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.  The Weingart Center Association, located in downtown LA's Skid Row, exists to break the cycle of homelessness and teach people how to lead more independent lives.  The Weingart Center provides residential facilities, a health center, employment services, and most importantly inspiration to the homeless.  Weingart seeks to transform people by giving them the resources to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.

The Weingart Center is always in need of items to help accomplish their goals -- donations of food (in bulk), toiletries, gift cards, cleaning products, bedding, and clothing (especially for job interviews) are accepted.  Weingart is also looking to fund a new ice machine to keep residents and workers cool and comfortable in the summer heat.

Help Weingart help the homeless -- less homeless on the streets means a better community for everyone.

The Weingart Center provides residential and community-based comprehensive services to homeless and at-risk individuals in Downtown Los Angeles.
