Many of us take for granted the fact that we go to our jobs each day, and our salaries provide us with enough to live on -- food, clean water, medicine, shelter, and usually some money left over for fun things too.  Sadly, this is not the case for all people.

BeadforLife hopes to make productive living a reality, through creating sustainable opportunities for women to thrive.  This organization encourages hardworking and intelligent women to become beaders, tailors, and shea nut gatherers, giving them the opportunity to sell jewelry and nut products to make a living.  Through their efforts, these women also prevent environmental degradation while working to support themselves within their economy.  BeadforLife further assists women through offering training, bank accounts, loans, affordable housing, and entrepreneurial programs.

If you would like to assist these women in meeting their goals, visit this website to learn more about hosting a bead party, buying fair trade products, debt cancellation, and education.  BeadforLife also hosts a curriculum designed to educate youth groups about global poverty issues, along with a store where you can buy the products made by the women of Uganda.

BeadforLife eradicates extreme poverty by creating bridges of understanding between impoverished Africans and concerned world citizens.  The beads and shea butter become income, food, medicine, school fees and hope. It is a small miracle that enriches us all.
