Uncle Roy's Toys

Last night we met with one of the founders of Uncle Roy's Toys.  Uncle Roy is an extraordinary man on a mission to support the U.S. troops by creating handmade yo-yos.  He's an 81-year-old Marine Corps veteran and a retired master carpenter, and has put his knowledge of the troops and woodworking skills to good use.  Uncle Roy works with Warmth for Warriors and Toys-For-Troops to send the yo-yos abroad to gift the troops a bit of whimsical fun.

Uncle Roy's Toys have sent 1,500 yo-yos to the troops since August 2010, but they are still looking for material and time to send even more.  If you'd like to learn more or help the cause, visit the Uncle Roy's Toys Facebook page.
